one minute sculptures

Erwin Wurm - "In The Artist Who Swallowed the World, Wurm is quoted as saying: "I am interested in the everyday life. All the materials that surrounded me could be useful, as well as the objects, topics involved in contemporary society. My work speaks about the whole entity of a human being: the physical, the spiritual, the psychological and the political.

"During an exclusive out of hours viewing of Performing for the Camera featured artist Erwin Wurm invites you to make a One Minute Sculpture. Through his work Erwin Wurm questions and reflects on sculpture itself, seeking to overcome its restrictions, limiting its life time to one minute only. Using everyday domestic objects and found furniture, Erwin creates situations and instructions that allow you to become an artwork for sixty seconds." https://www.tate.org.uk/whats-on/tate-modern/performance/erwin-wurm-one-minute-sculptures

As a response to Erwin Wurm's one minute sculptures and my initial research into possible concepts in wonder, I explored photography using props to connote these themes. The themes I was focused on were: kindness, distortion, being left out and standing out.
 being left out
 distortion
distortion and standing out * this one is my favourite as i use the change in wall colour to create this sense rather than having my model hold something
 distortion
 distortion and kindess

being left out
