Inspired by practical research, I began seperating text in shapes of semi circles and circles as a way of exploring the idea of text migrating, and the circular shape creates a consistent theme throughout the book as all elements are shaped on natural curves such as the flower shapes, the typeface, and the stamps.
Another method of approaching this rather than manually spacing it out is to use a circle and fill it with text. It doesn't stay exactly consistent to the body of text that was cut out put ensures an overall consistent shape throughout the body of text.

I experimented with formatting it into gradients from the neon green colour he selected to the earth tone gradients from the forest green to the national Syrian green however I prefer the consistency of an overall forest green colour.
Towards the end of the book, the narrative advances to the negative spaces taking form of the flora rather than just being circles. I had to use the pen tool within indesign to create a shape that I could then fill, and I'm really proud of these results as the jagged shapes provides more of a sense of movement that relates to the idea of migration.
