Wednesday: Independent study
Thursday: COP peer review
Friday: Bring in some visual work

Weekly Task:
Why am I doing this? What are the aims of the module?

  • Research – to have an informed understanding on your issue & audience
  • Product – what do you make and why? - how you're responding to research
  • Distribution – how to distribute this message to your audience - effective

As soon as your idea changes- research it again. Understand the new topic.
Reflect on your issue - are you solving an issue? or raising awareness for it?
Try to solve an issue and come up with something that's doable.
Start working on developing initial ideas: Identify possible directions – respond to these.

In pairs discuss what you are aiming to do. Are you aiming to solve the issue? To raise awareness..?
Make a list of what possible outcomes could be.
This week respond to this list. Start to design.
The aim is to have a range of directions it could take so you can then start focused development next week.
Continue with research. You have identified what you still need to find out – find this out. Research shouldn’t stop at the start of the process, it should be sustained throughout the design process to support developing ideas.

Potential Ideas:

  • Identifying a digital issue and exploring or solving this with analog processes - doesn't have to be 100% functional - going back to the idea of a dystopia/alternate world.
