Final Image Poster

The final image poster takes more direct inspiration from research than the other posters as it explores the concept of composing plastic waste objects as Thirza Schaap did in her ‘Plastic Ocean’ photography series, and placing it in a layout reminiscent of deep sea currents inspired by Mandy Baker’s ‘Penalty’ images. This is all used to communicate the issue of marine pollution by suggesting that everyday people’s everyday waste is contributing to the disruption of nature by having the plastic pollution follow an ocean current, which is completely unnatural. The mundane everyday objects relates to the viewers as it conveys to them their impact on marine pollution. Susan Sontag * avoid the ability to disassociate from the topic at hand. Layering creates chaos - issues with pollution.

Digital mock up to visualise how it would translate in real life. It's clear that the image reaches the end of the of the sheet and suggests going beyond it.
