website works really well
maybe the exhibition is in my living room and everyone accesses it from the website - sharing ur space
real time and digital exhibition
gd idea that images
images dont have to be clear - the texture of living room doesn't matter - personal space
global audience potentially
development - different ways the website works, different ways the projections are shown in the room*
how would the digital exhibition work
website could turn into a house - get bigger and bigger - room could continue to build where drop down menu takes u to different rooms in the house - checkboxes when uploading could determine this*
print onto acetate and project - more physical tests *this is all for development
website - starts off as real time exhibition then becomes the archive/constantly uploaded as it has more potential than limiting it n continues to build in each room dropdown - need to develop a digital space (differentrecordings)
can ppl control where the image goes? sally thurer position then upload or they r sharin my space so they dont have all tht control n neither do i - automatically placed (sharing the digital space)
Summary
Good idea as it relates well to Studio Brief 1 and shows a translation of ideas from print to screen. No need for the QR code and phone browser based website as this can be done by anyone on one website to avoid limiting audiences/potential for how big the website could become.
The idea now is to have a projection installation in my own living room but people don't come to visit it, it's instead live-streamed on a website. On this website, people can watch the exhibition and then upload their photo (and answer a few questions) and then see it be projected in real time. Once the exhibition is over, the website is then an archive of the images, results of the questions and comments of the photos people uploaded shown in digital spaces that build up a house e.g a drop down menu that shows each room and when clicked, the images are shown in them moving how they did during the exhibition.
Moving Forward
Focus on development - even though I have a strong idea I still need to experiment with different elements to develop into my final idea. These can be
- how the website works, UX and UI (colour, layout, drop down menus etc)
- the digital space within the website (how it looks)
- how people upload the images (the interface and placing it in the actual space)
- how the projections move (slow, fast, don't move and other ways this could be done)
- the questions asked when people upload the images
