OUGD406 Briefing

Need to create a map inspired by this weeks derivable's - in a group come up with 3 initial ideas on how to mapping and documenting a journey.
The final piece will be exhibitioned at Colours May Vary.

Need to start of with understanding what a map is?
How can you challenge the idea of a map?
What tools can you use to map? - Tim Knowles. Creating a device that maps the wind which can map the space, a conversation someone is having in a bus, can map time, challenge traditional maps.
Strava - a running app that maps your GPS and can create a drawing through this.
Mapping something mundane/small/an everyday activity. *Needs to be grounded in your experience.
What principle to map? Type, Names, Views, Conversations, Sounds (London Sound Survey), Smells, etc.

2 weeks of developing. 
Exhibition branding week - design the branding for the exhibition such as name, instagram...

Prompt 1
Derivé - discover things yourself. Don't directly follow roads, paths etc.
Split into groups and split into pairs then begin to explore contrasting areas for 10 minutes.
Loud speaker on phone, explain sights, feelings, just words that summarise an experience rather than directions.
