In response to this, Adam and I decided to walk into town while Nikki and Eleanor went towards Hyde Park as we wanted to focus in on conversations and explore text whereas the others were to focus more on visual imagery. We noted down conversations we heard and were not expecting how hard it was to pick up on sentences however the segments we picked up on were interesting and we thought about how that could be developed or what each segment could represent e.g how far away the person was, how loud it was, how quiet the location was.
Additionally, we drew some illustrations that represented elements of our journey as another way of mapping rather than solely taking pictures as Nikki and Eleanor were focusing in on photography. We drew some symbols such as the figure representations of people in pedestrian or crossing signs. I focused a lot on drawing shapes or details of found objects such as a baby bottle on the wall and food that was littered. The drawings of architecture and logos were to act as prompts for line or type explorations however I'm not very interesting in looking at architectural line work.
The photos we took were unsuccessful as we didn't have a clear idea to focus on as we were too focused on type and instead took photos of things that seemed interesting such as cctv, reflections, and general pathways.
